admission of the first woman lawyer to the Illinois bar, Bar None: 125 Years of
Women Lawyers in Illinois explores the historical significance of the first
generation of Illinois woman lawyers. This exhibit tells the story of women's
fight to open the legal profession in Illinois and highlights the lives and
work of some of the of the state's first 100 women lawyers, who were admitted
to the bar during the period 1873 to 1901."
