THANK YOU FOR HOLY WEEK
Thank you to all the liturgical ministers who worked together to bring about the Holy Week services. Leo lit the fire for the Easter Vigil and carved the amazing processional cross and tabernacle, Paul pulled together all the technical needs, Kathleen laundered the altar linens, Madeline had her feet washed, Chris worked many hours with all the lectors, Paul and Roger scheduled the eucharistic ministers, Kathryn designed all the programs, John and Joanne led the greeters, Craig and the altar servers made things run smoothly, the musicians worked countless hours to lead the sung prayer, Nancy guided the newest members of our community to their initiation, Catherine sent beautiful Lenten prayers to our young families, Andrew and Estella walked the stations through the foothills, our presiders crafted the liturgies and preaching, and together with the whole community, we prayed. May God.s most gracious Holy Spirit lead us to work for peace and allow us joy as we celebrate this Easter season. Blessings, Teresa.

POPE BIRTHDAY PROJECT
The National Catholic Educational Association has launched a project to honor the Pope on his birthday, April 16 as well as his U.S. visit on April 15-20, which will focus on education. The NCEA is inviting college students to participate in "Birthday Blessings for Pope Benedict XVI: A gift of public service from U.S. Catholic youth and students," a campaign seeking service hours in honor of the Holy Father's birthday. Students in schools, religious education programs, colleges and seminaries from all over the U.S. are being asked to complete or pledge (for completion by May 31, 2008) community service time in the name of the Pope. Activities could include efforts in which students are already involved, those that reflect the mission of the church to serve others, simply any kind of service that helps others. You can pledge individually at http://ncea.catholic.org or send an e-mail to the Interns (cestella@stanford.edu) for more information and a pledge form to be included in the parish-wide pledge form. Contact the Interns or visit http://ncea.catholic.org for more information.

FAITH IN ACTION
The Church works in both Sacramento and Washington to bring Catholic values to proposed legislation. You can become better informed and help affect the process at key times by signing up to receive electronic news letters and action alerts. Sign up for the national list with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops or the California Catholic Conference (the policy arm of the California dioceses). We can make a difference!

"UNNATURAL CAUSES"
"Unnatural Causes" is a 4-hour PBS documentary series exploring America's racial and socioeconomic inequities in health. The series sheds light on evidence that demonstrates how work, wealth, neighborhood conditions, and lack of access to power and resources can actually disrupt human health. Personal stories are told to demonstrate how social conditions are as vital to our health as diet and exercise. The series will air nationally over four weeks beginning on Thursday March 27th on KQED - San Francisco at 10:00 pm (more local listings...) (Submitted by peter_barling@hotmail.com)
