Clayman Institute Fellowship Programs
-
The Clayman Institute offers up to seven residential fellowships for tenured, tenure-track, and postdoctoral scholars from Stanford University, and U.S. and foreign universities. Fellows are in residence at the Institute for one, two, or three quarters. Stipends are offered up to $60,000 depending on status. Each fellow is also provided with a small research fund. We welcome applications from individuals and from groups of scholars working together on a single project.
The Clayman Institute also offers a number of non-residential fellowships to Members of the Academic Council and Members of the Medical Center Line in the Stanford faculty. Up to twelve awards of $10,000 for three quarters are available.
Graduate Dissertation Fellowships
Currently enrolled Stanford University students, in any discipline, who are in the writing phase of their doctorate are invited to apply for a Graduate Dissertation Fellowship (GDF). Stipend is currently $7,000 per year. The Clayman Institute's graduate dissertation fellowships do not offer tuition fees. GDFs meet at least monthly to share their work in progress and for professional development discussions.
