GRADUATES OF 2006

    BACHELOR OF ARTS & SCIENCE


  • FRANCINE CHIMMA ANENE - Next year will be co-terming in Statistics. Plans to apply to law school on the road to becoming a Professor of Law. She is also receiving Honors in Political Science.

  • CRISTINA DIANA NICA - Cristina will be working for Citigroup in their investment banking division in London.

  • ROSS DAVID BAYER - With Honors and University Distinction. Will be working at the Mountain View campus of Microsoft next year.

  • DANIEL PATRICK CERVELLI - After graduation Dan will continue working with the US Geological Survey's Volcano Hazards Program on volcano- monitoring software.

  • VIVIAN WEI-HUA CHANG - Will spend summer teaching English in a rural village in China. Next fall, she will be in New York City for McKinsey & Company doing management consulting in the Business Analyst program. Wants to thank entire family - parents, sister, and grandparents - for supporting her through the past 4 years.

  • JEFFRY CHENG - Will be staying another year to co-term in the popular MS&E, specializing in Organizations, Technology and entrepreneurship. Hopes to intern while obtaining his Master's degree.

  • ROSS CHI-JEN CHEUNG - Ross will be working in software engineering - and considering grad school.

  • JAMES THOMAS CONNOR - With University Distinction. James will be working at Google over the summer, finishing his co-term in computer science next year, and most likely applying to PhD programs next Fall.

  • VARICK LEE ERICKSON - Varick plans to pursue a PhD in Education, with a focus in the use of technology in math and science education.

  • JOHN KENNETH GARROD - With University Distinction

  • MICHAEL ALEXANDER GUCWA - Phi Beta Kappa. Michael will be working at Xfire, a video gaming company located in Menlo Park, as a marketing associate.

  • JOHN NEVILLE HANKEY - Will be doing proprietary (meaning no clients will be providing capital) options trading for Group One Trading in New York on 2 Rector Street.

  • JONATHAN PHILIP HENNESSY - Will work as a research assistant at Stanford Law School for one year. After that, will then finish co-term in Management Science and Engineering.

  • PITI HONGSARANAGON - With Honors and University Distinction. Piti will be working at Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong next year in the Investment Banking division.

  • ZAW LIN HTEIK - (it's pronounced "teik") did a double major in M&CS and Economics. Will work as a Business Analyst at a financial consulting frim in Berkeley. Lates intends to go to Business School for an MBA.

  • ADAM DAVID KAPELNER - Adam also earned minor in Physics and a minor in Economics and if he had another year he would've gotten a few more. He was always known for being very neurotic about picking classes. For next year he may go to graduate school in biology or get a job in tech. He would like to thank his parents and sisters for being there for him.

  • JONATHAN S. LEVINE - Will be working at CarMax, a Fortune 500 company in Richmond, Virginia, in their Strategy Departments. He plans to pursue a degree in law in the future and hope to follow Major League Baseball as closely as humanly possible.

  • ALYSSA YUNG-LAN LIANG - Not present

  • DAVID JING-PIAO LIN - With Honors. Will be a Simons Fellow in applied computer science at Yale Medical School. The 2-year fellowship focuses on finding new ways to bring computational tools to the diagnosis and understanding of autism. After the fellowship, he plans to attend medical school.

  • ROBERT S. LIU - With Honors. Rob would like to thank all of his professors for providing guidance and direction in his life. He is still deciding between a job in finance, product management, a PhD in economics, law school, and a career as a professional gambler.

  • CHRISTOPHER JOSEPH MARTINEZ - Will be working in finance in San Francisco for a few years before applying to JD/MBA programs.

  • ERIC SAMUEL MAYEFSKY - With Honors. He will be starting a PhD in economics at Stanford this fall. So, that should keep him busy for at least the rest of the decade.

  • MARCIN ZBIGNIEW MEJRAN - Will be co-terming statistics next year and plans to graduate after 1 or 2 quarters. Afterwards, will most likely apply for PhD program and enter the job market in the meanwhile.

  • NAOMI SARA MUSCATINE - With University Distinction and Phi Beta Kappa. Will spend summer hanging out at home; then travel in Spain and Portugal. Will then go to work as a Business Consultant for Applied Predictive Technologies in Arlington, VA ...in the long run. She feels like in five years she could be anywhere in the world doing anything!

  • BRIAN THU KHEA NGUYEN - Will receive degrees in both M&CS and Economics. Will be working as an analysis in Investment Banking in the Bay Area after graduation.

  • JAKUB OBTAWIEC - Pursuing a career in investment management in New York.

  • PATRICK THOMAS WARD - With University Distinction and Phi Beta Kappa. Will be staying in the Bay Area and working for Bain & Company, a management consulting firm. Would like to thank parents for all of their love and support.

  • DAVID THOMAS WILLCOX - David will begin working for Morgan Stanley in the Institutional Equity Division. More specifically, on the Derivatives Trading desk.
