What is New Member Recruitment?
Recruitment is the process of mutual selection through which interested individuals join a sorority. Potential New Members (PNMs) meet members from every chapter, watch each chapter's skits and videos, and decide which sorority is the right one for them. Membership recruitment consists of four rounds of events: Open House, Invite 1, Invite 2, and Preference. These “rush parties” (as they are called) last longer and become more formal as the week progresses.

Why go through Recruitment?
Sororities offer members a wide array of opportunities and benefits. These include philanthropy and community service events, social activities, academic scholarships, a supportive home environment, a national network of sisters, close friendships, and memories that last a lifetime!

Why be a TriDelt?
As a member of Delta Delta Delta, you will find a welcoming house of amazing girls who care about each other and are always ready to have a good time. Becoming a part of our organization means gaining access to great opportunities for leadership, philanthropy, and friendship. TriDelts have diverse interests and backgrounds, but ultimately we share a rallying spirit, a foundation of mutual respect, and lifelong sisterhood.

What are the advantages of living in a sorority house?
TriDelta is more than just our house, it is our home. It is a supportive community where everyone knows one another and a friendly environment in which people share their interests and ideas. (Plus... we have delicious food!)

Are sorority members required to live in the chapter house?
Yes, each girl is required to live in the house unless she is studying abroad or on house staff elsewhere. Once the house is full to capacity (56 people), some seniors have the option to live outside of the house. The option of living out depends on a system of housing points acquired over the years of chapter membership.

What does it cost to be in a housed sorority?
Every quarter, members pay dues to the sorority plus their room and board bill. The total amount covers the girl’s room, food prepared by our chef, our amazing open kitchen, and all social activities (like white water rafting!). Even when the cost of dues and room/board are combined, the cost of living in TriDelta is equivalent, if not lower, than in any other Row House.

Does being a legacy guarantee me a spot in a sorority?
Contrary to popular belief, being a legacy does not guarantee that a potential new member will be offered membership in his/her family member’s organization.

Can I go abroad or take a year off and still be a member?
Yes. We encourage all of our members to participate in exchange programs to enrich their academic experiences. If a member chooses to go abroad, a spot will be reserved in the house for her as long as the house is not at full capacity. If there is a vacancy in the house at the time of the member's return, housing priority will be based on seniority and whether the member holds an office or not. If the house is full, she will be granted "live-out" status as long as she is not a sophomore (sophomores are required to live-in their first year as members). Likewise, those members who take a year off are still considered chapter members, and housing will be provided upon return, if it is available.

What types of social activities do Trideltas do?
The Omega Chapter of Delta Delta Delta offers a variety of different social avenues for its members. See the “social” page of our website for a full calendar of our most recent events.

What kind of a time commitment is Tridelta?
While we do have a series of mandatory events and meetings that all members must attend, Tridelta is what you want it to be. In other words, there is a mutual understanding in our chapter that academics should go before all else. Therefore, our members are offered generous flexibility to allow them to balance their academic, personal, and social lives with their commitment to the sorority.
