of our opponents away from the basket. Defensively, she is a good rebounder and
I already admire her work habits. I know she will fit in very well with the

In High School
A 6-2 forward, Heather brings a long list of impressive
credentials to Stanford...She led Moscow High School to two straight basketball
titles, both as a sophomore and as a junior...In her last two years, she was
named the Idaho High School Player of the Year in Division A-2...In addition,
she was Idaho's State Gatorade Player of the Year (including all
divisions)...She was also Converse's Idaho Player of the Year...Owen was an AAU
All-American (joining teammates Benton, Freuen, and Mulitauaopele)...Entering
her senior year, she was named a Second Team All-American by Street &
Smith's...Following her senior year, she was named a Second Team Parade
Magazine All-American and a Third Team USA Today All-American...In addition,
she played (along with Benton, Folkl, and Scott) in the Kodak All-America game
in Jackson, TN last April...As a sophomore, she led her team to a 22-3
record...As a junior, Moscow went 23-1...In that junior year, Heather averaged
17 points and 10 rebounds, all while shooting 66 percent from the field...Her
GPA at Moscow was 3.95..."Heather is very versatile," said VanDerveer. "She'll
allow us to run with any combination of players we put out there. She plays
three sports (also volleyball and track), so you know that she's a fine
athlete." ...Chose Stanford over UCLA and Colorado...A member of the National
Honor Society.
