Since the larger society and the university setting are sometimes not open to women's voices, we are striving to create a space for all women to tell their stories and empower themselves. We encourage feminis m as a multiplicity. From that space, women can be inspired to raise awareness of the different struggles, needs, and strengths of women in the Stanford community and in the world. We can reflect on the past, and then look into the future. In doing so, we can see how to use the tools we gain in reflection to empower us to create the kind of future we want. By saying Herstory, we challenge the universal story of history to include the unheard voices of women. this is a celebration of women finding our voices.
