ABOUT ME
I'm just 57 - a good, if ripe, age as all have been. I'm finding I continue to discover things to be interested in in the world. In the past few years I have learned to read the bible, become a foster mom, help publish a book, develop overseas programs and more.
This year I celebrate 27 years of marriage. That's something, eh? I read a love poem recently that made me smile. Maybe you'll enjoy it.
I'm currently employed by Stanford's Program in Biodesign. The mission of the program is to train the next generation of medical device inventors. My job is as Manager of Special Projects.
I am one of a million or so people who have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have been keeping track of my disease and recovery. If you're interested in my story please feel to read it, although I warn you that it's not all uplifiting.
THOUGHTS
I love working at Stanford - it's a rich and varied place and something is always happening here! I recently got to go to India for work! I also saw the Taj Majal and other amazing sites. Next stop: Singapore!
I've had numerous jobs (see my resume) and each one has been interesting but eventually not, so I moved on. My latest is one of my favorites and I'm staying.
I'm quite opinionated about the web mostly from experience but also because it's important. I've been preaching the significance of design for the web since 1994 when I gave a paper at the 2nd Intl WWW conference about the topic. This was followed by a poster at the 4th, and running the 6th.
