I enjoy writing all kinds of poetry: sonnets, ghazals, haikus, and your regular free verse type stuff. I've taken a class or two, but mostly I just write when I get the urge. These often come when I am sad or depressed, like when my sister passed away. But there are also times when I'm inspired and write whole poems (or songs) without stopping as if it came from another source. Those are most amazing times!
