I was really, really bored one day, so I got the idea for this song, not surprisingly while riding rollers. I got back to work, used Yahoo to look up this fellow's Talking Heads site, found an ftp site for their discography, downloaded the song "Road to Nowhere," corrupted and twisted it, and here's my results:

Ride to nowhere

WELL I KNOW WHERE I'M GOIN'
AND IT'S THE SAME PLACE I'VE BEEN
AND I KNOW WHERE I'M RIDIN'
BUT THERE AIN'T MUCH THAT I'VE SEEN
AND I WANNA BE OUTSIDE
I REMEMBER WHAT IT'S LIKE
AND THE SOLSTICE IS CERTAIN
GIVE ME DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME

I'm on a ride to nowhere
Biking inside
Ridin' that bike to nowhere
I'm still inside

I'm feelin' bored this mornin'
And you know,
I'm on the road to my tee-vee
Here I go, here I go

CHORUS

Maybe you wonder why I do it
I don't care
Here is where boredom is my ride
Take me away...take me away

I'm on a ride to nowhere
I'm on a ride to nowhere
I'm on a ride to nowhere

There's a road in my mind
Really want to take that ride
and it's not here, baby, it's not here

And it's not so far away
But it's raining night and day
And it's not here, baby, it's not here

Ridin' inside is what I do
But I'd rather dodge dog poo
And it's not here, baby, it's not here

I'm on a ride to nowhere

Road to Nowhere

WELL WE KNOW WHERE WE'RE GOIN'
BUT WE DON'T KNOW WHERE WE'VE BEEN
AND WE KNOW WHAT WE'RE KNOWIN'
BUT WE CAN'T SAY WHAT WE'VE SEEN
AND WE'RE NOT LITTLE CHILDREN
AND WE KNOW WHAT WE WANT
AND THE FUTURE IS CERTAIN
GIVE US TIME TO WORK IT OUT

We're on a road to nowhere
Come on inside
Takin' that ride to nowhere
We'll take that ride

I'm feelin' okay this mornin'
And you know,
We're on the road to paradise
Here we go, here we go

CHORUS

Maybe you wonder where you are
I don't care
Here is where time is on our side
Take you there...take you there

We're on a road to nowhere
We're on a road to nowhere
We're on a road to nowhere

There's a city in my mind
Come along and take that ride
and it's all right, baby, it's all right

And it's very far away
But it's growing day by day
And it's all right, baby, it's all right

They can tell you what to do
But they'll make a fool of you
And it's all right, baby, it's all right

We're on a road to nowhere
