Academics
- Current Quarter Time Schedule
- Stanford Bulletin aka Courses and Degrees.
- Registrar's office
  - Registration and Enrollment
  - Transferring credit from other institutions. Note that you may need approval from your major department to use another institution's course to fulfill a requirement for the major.
- Undergraduate Advising Center. See especially sections on Freshman, Sophomore, and Pre-Professional (law, business, education, medicine) advising.
- Stanford Overseas Studies. Also check out the Overseas Resource Center for non-Stanford opportunities for studying abroad. They also has info on scholarships for studying abroad.
- Breadth Requirements
  - Program in Writing and Rhetoric. Note that this has changed starting 2003/2004
  - Intro to the Humanities. Required courses for all students, taken freshman year. (page could use some ALT text for its images to make it accessible.)
- Interest exploration
  - Stanford Introductory Seminars. Small seminars for sophomores and freshmen only. A great way to work closely with a faculty member.
  - Sophomore College. An intensive program for returning second-year students allowing them to work closely with particular professors. Takes place in the few weeks before the start of the second year.
- University Departments. Many of these contain info of use (unfortunately many don't have pages accessible to people who are blind or who choose not to download images).
- Undergraduate research program
  - Undergraduate Research Opportunities. This includes info on direct grants to students as well as grants funnelled through faculty or departments to undergraduates. (web page is somewhat inaccessible to visually disabled students)
  - Summer Research College. Intensive undergraduate research.
  - Research Experience For Undergraduates (Electrical Engineering)
  - Energy Research Undergraduate Laboratory Fellowships (SLAC)
- Stanford Bookstore. Includes information on required books and their availability. (my comments about this site's design are unprintable.)

- UAC Tutoring Program.
- Some departments offer tutoring services
  - Math Department Tutoring
- Go to office hours
Beyond Academics
- Haas Center for Public Service. Clearinghouse for volunteer work and service internships. Dreadful web page, not accessible to the blind and too dependent on javascript (10/2000).
- Career Development Center. Will have info on summer jobs/internships
  - Stanford Career Network. Links to alumni
  - Shadow Program. Allows you to shadow someone for a day

Stressed out
- Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS): provides individual, couples and group psychological counseling for all registered undergraduate and graduate students at Stanford. Consultation and outreach services are provided for Stanford's faculty, staff, and student organizations. Crisis Counseling (24 Hour) 723-3785. Also has an Anxiety Management Center for those students who suffer from Anxiety.
- Bridge Peer Counseling Center provides counseling and an information and referral service. Call (650) 723-3392 at any time to speak to a peer counselor.
