A
definition for culture?
There is no
shortage of definitions for the term culture. Andrea Herrera, Director of Ethnic Studies at the University of
Colorado at Colorado Springs defines culture as, “the shared values,
understanding, symbols and practices of a group of people.” The Bay Area is home to many different
cultures; as educators it is important that we are aware of the cultures of
our students. Some
