Addendum

It was still raining the next morning, and we geared up to pedal to the nearby shuttle bus where three of us planned to seque into a camping trip for another week in Denali National Park.

Additional Information. To my knowledge there were:

...6 flat tires, most within the first three days of the trip.
...2 minor accidents. We each fell over with our bikes, standing still, at the very end of the trip.
...1 bike maintenance problem stemming from a problem preceeding the trip.
...No apparent illnesses.
...No significant glitches.
...No disasters.
