No algorithms were found for joint lossless compression of the right image that were more efficient than independent compression of the image. In this case, independent compression should always be used.
If the channel requires a low bit-rate, the pioneering block encoder should be used, since the required data transmission approaches zero as SNR approaches 15dB from above.
If however a high SNR is required, block-based disparity map encoding should be used, since it has the best performance at higher bit rates of the methods evaluated.
