The satellite photo above shows the location of the ancient city of Ur of the Chaldees, leading city of Mesopotamia at 2500 BC, and home of the biblical Abraham. The key to the biblical flood is in the behavior of the three rivers shown. The Iraq military airfield of Talil, which was devasted by the allies in the war, is next to the ancient city.
It is ironical that the February 25, 1992 ground attack in the Gulf War was fought in and around this same site of ancient struggle between the Sumerians and the Elamites. A military map of the war, covering the same area as the photo above, is shown below.
