The Chorale opens its 2015-2016 season with a richly varied program of a cappella literature, featuring Frank Ticheli's cycle Constellation: Three Poems of Sara Teasdale. Also on the program are luminous works by Ivo Antognini, Ola Gjeilo, Ēriks Ešenvalds, Maurice Duruflé, Dan Forrest, Robert Pearsall, and William Byrd.

Saturday, 5 March 2016: Winter Concert, "Bright is the Ring of Words"

The Chorale presents an evening of choral reflections on life and love in Bing Concert Hall. The program features Brahms' beloved Neue Liebeslieder Walzer (Op. 65) in collaboration with faculty pianists Laura Dahl and Frederick Weldy; three settings of the poetry of Robert Louis Stevenson by contemporary American composers; and Ola Gjeilo's mesmerizing Evening Prayer.





Wednesday, 30 March 2016: Concert with the Choir of St. John's College, Cambridge

The Chorale makes a guest appearance with the world-renowned Choir of St John's College, Cambridge in their Bing Concert Hall debut. A cornerstone of the rich English choral tradition since the 1670's, the St John's Choir is admired for its full, expressive sound and expansive repertoire. The Choir is often heard on BBC Radio, with England's finest orchestras, and in concerts worldwide. Andrew Nethsingha leads the Chorale, the St John's Choir, and members of the Stanford Symphony Orchestra and Stanford Philharmonia in Bernstein's stirring Chichester Psalms.

The Chorale participates in the first ever Northern California Collegiate Choral Festival, along with choirs from Cal State East Bay, UC Berkeley, San Francisco State, St. Mary's College, Santa Clara University, and San Jose State University.





Friday-Saturday, 15-16 April 2016: Mt. Shasta Educational Outreach Concerts
The Chorale embarks on a three-day educational outreach runout to Mt. Shasta, California. Watch this space for performance information updates!

Members of the Chorale participate in the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra's performance of Mendelssohn's glorious Symphony No. 2 "Lobgesang" ("Hymn of Praise"), conducted by Maestro Nicholas McGegan. Also on the program are Beethoven's Leonore Overture No. 3, Elegischer Gesang ("Elegiac Song"), and Meeresstille und glückliche Fahrt ("Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage").

A special program for students admitted to the class of 2020 and their families and friends, featuring the Chamber Chorale, the Stanford Laptop Orchestra (SLOrk), the Stanford Symphony Orchestra, and student soloists from the Department of Music.
