Research
My main research areas have been in language acquisition (especially
the comparison of English and Japanese), bilingual development (especially
in Spanish-English bilingualism), bilingual education policy, and
most recently, affirmative action in higher education. I have also
written and edited research-based books that are intended for non-technical
and policy audiences. I have had fabulous collaborators and students
throughout my career, in fact I consider it the single best source
of my own success in identifying and working with great colleagues
-- I will not play a "favorites" game for my publications
and collaborators on this web page, but I have many favorites and
feel extraordinarily lucky. Click here for my list of publications,
available in searchable pdf format (a keyword or co-authors into
the search engine should turn up what you are looking for). |
